What is the documentary photo?

The documentary photo is the dreamed practice for world explorers like us.
It is also one of the most difficult exercises. It needs patience, empathy, listening towards what we don’t see and hear. It is a long-time work, and it is first a human work. When we ask people to trust us to the point that they unveil to us, speak about their lives, strengths and weaknesses, we must honor them by doing the same thing. The documentary report requires humility and benevolence towards people we photograph, but also towards ourselves because it obviously shakes us up.

Why should I use it?

Because it is the only photo format that gives us the time to look, understand, and translate a picture to relate it after. We define ourselves as explorers because our curiosity and passion to discover occupations, stories and companies has no limit and always takes us beyond what we imagined. Open-mindedness is our key word. When we discover the life force of people with AIDS, or the one of young Indians to leave the space they were put in, we change our look on our environment, on what we have and who we are, and we keep evolving because of this.
It is therefore our journalists’ souls which make that we will never get annoyed, and we will continue to learn more about the world around us.
